Dominique C. Bach
Adviser, Non-Executive Director and Business Angel
Since 2010, Dominique C. Bach is a partner of a consulting firm specialized in strategy, marketing, international development and incubating businesses. He is Non-Executive Director at Polyver-Group, Luxembourg (www.polyvergroup.com). He is also foreign trade advisor to France.
In 2009 Mr. Bach was CEO of Strauss-Coffee and was responsible for the company’s $1000 million coffee business globally with approximately 5500 employees and twelve production sites (Brazil, Central/Eastern Europe and Israel). In this role, Mr. Bach was leading an expansion plan to grow the company thru NPD and acquisitions to become one of the top 5 global coffee players as well as hiring and developing a high quality
international leadership team.
From 2003 to 2008, Mr. Bach was President of PepsiCo Foods Central & Eastern Europe. During his tenure, business increased six fold and profit went from breakeven to 20% of net sales, mainly thanks to successful NPD with global potential. In 1996, Mr. Bach created Chandon Estates, a subsidiary of LVMH headquartered in San Francisco, comprising all the sparkling wines produced outside of France. He was the CEO up to 2001, forged a patchwork of local businesses into the first global sparkling wine company with a worldwide brand identity. An international still wine business was established to complement sparkling wine offerings.
His background also includes successive:
-non-executive directorships with rm2, a composite pallet manufacturer, with Stock Spirits Group, a Central Europe alcoholic beverage group and Emmi, a Swiss milk and cheese business.
-executive positions with Mars Inc., including Managing Director of Masterfoods Sweden, Masterfoods France and with Groupe Danone.
Mr. Bach received his marketing engineering degree from EDHEC (Business School, Lille), and is a graduate of the Stanford Executive and Insead CEO Programs.
